Aerial view, King Edwards Wharf, Birmingham.
Historic Canalside architecture sits alongside Contemporary urban dwellings in this aerial view of King Edwards Wharf on the Birmingham Canal Navigation (BCN) - a network of some 100 miles of canal, showcasing some stunning scenery & rich, diverse architecture.
Of note in this drone shot, is The Roundhouse - a surviving piece of the city`s industrial heritage, it is Grade II listed in recognition of its historical significance. Designed by Birmingham architect William Henry Ward in 1873, it was built as a mineral & coal wharf on the canal-railway interchange. It`s iconic horse-shoe plan makes it a waterside landmark.
