NIPPY
The Lyons Tea Sentinel DG6 Steam Box Van No.7966, affectionately known as "Nippy" , was built 1929. We found this fantastic example at the Coventry Festival of Motoring, at Stoneleigh Park.
Interesting fact - A Nippy was a waitress who worked in the J.Lyons & Co. tea shops & cafes in London from 1926; the term was coined due to waitresses who nipped (moved quickly) around the tea shops.
